Kiri Download
Version 0.1.0, free. One app brings the runtime, the docker command, Compose and buildx, so there is nothing else to install.
Signed and notarized disk image, 45 MB. Apple silicon (M1 or later), macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Native, with no VM at all: the daemon calls clone3 on your own kernel.
Inside WSL2, on the Linux kernel Windows already ships. Windows 10 or 11.
Downloads the latest release, checks its SHA-256 and Apple's notarization, moves Kiri to Applications and sets up the kiri and docker commands.
$ curl -fsSL https://runkiri.com/install.sh | bash
Before you start
M1 or later, on macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Kiri runs one small Linux VM through Apple's Virtualization.framework.
No Docker Desktop, no Homebrew packages. Kiri brings its own docker, Compose and buildx and adds a kiri docker context.
The app can move your images, volumes and containers over, so you can switch without rebuilding.
First run
Open the disk image, drag Kiri to Applications and open it. It starts the VM and lives in the menu bar.
So it picks up the kiri and docker commands Kiri just put on your PATH.
$ kiri run --rm hello-worldYour usual docker and docker compose commands now run on Kiri too.
